Why MOQ varies
MOQ depends on the base model, customization, materials, packaging, production schedule and component purchasing. A standard model with neutral packaging may support a lower trial quantity than a custom electrical or private-label version.
Separate product MOQ from customization MOQ
Logo plates, printed cartons, manuals, labels and custom components can each have different minimum quantities. Ask the supplier to separate these requirements so you can decide which customization to introduce first.
Request complete packaging data
- Number of cartons per unit
- Carton dimensions and gross/net weight
- Pallet dimensions if used
- Glass and corner protection
- Moisture protection
- Accessory carton and hardware identification
- Package drop or handling information where available
Calculate freight by volume
For many sauna models, cubic volume is a major freight driver. Compare the packed volume per unit and loading quantity, not only product dimensions. Ask whether packaging can be safely optimized without increasing damage risk.
Choose the right shipping approach
Samples and spare parts may move by courier or air, while commercial cabin orders usually move by sea or rail depending on route and urgency. Less-than-container loads can be practical for trials but may involve more handling. Full-container planning can reduce unit freight cost when volume supports it.
Understand the quotation Incoterm
EXW, FOB, CIF and other Incoterms allocate costs and responsibilities differently. Confirm the named port or place and the version used in the sales contract. Freight quotations can change, so note validity dates and included charges.
Prepare for destination handling
Budget for customs clearance, duty, tax, port or terminal charges, local delivery, unloading and warehouse labor. Confirm whether residential or project delivery requires special equipment because cartons can be large and heavy.
Reduce transit damage
Use clear packaging specifications and pre-shipment photos. Identify fragile glass, orientation, stacking restrictions and handling marks. Agree how visible damage, concealed damage and missing parts should be documented upon receipt.
Start with a landed-cost worksheet
For each shortlisted model, record unit price, packed volume, gross weight, units per shipment, origin charges, freight, duty, tax, destination charges and local delivery. This gives a more useful product comparison than factory price alone.
Request current packing and loading data
Send the product links and target quantity through our wholesale inquiry form. Packing dimensions, loading estimates and shipping terms are confirmed for the selected models.
